How soon can you do the proposed work?

Our schedule varies depending on the season and type of work:

In the case of lawn care we can simply put you on our route and begin service on the following round.

For maintenance work, and small installs we can typically accommodate you within 2-3 weeks

For larger plantings and hardscapes expect the project to take longer to get started given the need for design and careful planning . Depending on scope, larger projects may take one or more months from initial contact to completion.

You can expect that we will be booked considerably farther out in the spring, and less so in the winter

In any case we encourage you to call as soon as you are considering work, especially for larger projects, so that we can complete your work in a timely manner. For your convenience, recurring service can be scheduled so you don’t have to worry about calling to schedule it each time and contracts are available with convenient monthly payments.

Along with your bid, I got several others. Why are the prices different?

It’s always a good idea to get more than one bid on a larger project. Equally important is to make sure that each contractor is bidding on the same project. If you meet with three contractors and give them a vague description of what you would like, you will likely get three very different proposals, with three very different prices. Instead, come up with a specific set of guidelines and give them to each contractor, or choose one to come up with a design that all can bid on. If there are large differences in price, don’t hesitate to ask why. Are there differences in techniques, a missed step? Inferior or superior materials? For the best results choose a contractor based on references, examples of similar work done previously, and ultimately, the one that will do the best job for you, you shouldn’t base your decision on price alone. If you are not satisfied with the end result, it doesn’t do you a bit of good to save a few dollars.

I would like some ideas. Can you help me?

Certainly. Depending on your needs, we can go several different routes. If you would simply like some advice, stop by our shop or call anytime. On site consulting is also available, billed on an hourly basis. If you are looking to install a landscape or hardscape we can help with that as well. On smaller jobs such as the addition of a new bed or beds, a quick sketch or choosing several plants from a photo library will often suffice. For larger scale jobs we offer computerized landscape design. There is a fee associated with this service that varies depending on the scope of the project. Typical fees for a residential or small commercial property range from $100 to $300.00. After discussing with you your desires for the property, we come up with 2-3 different design options in the form of overhead scale representations of your property. These drawings show any structures, proposed plants, materials, bedded areas, etc. and are keyed so you can see exactly what everything is. At that point you can choose your favorite or combine aspects of each option that you enjoy. Additional work on the plans is billed on an hourly basis.
